Welcome back, Big Brother fans! The wait is finally over. Big Brother 28 kicked off with a massive 90-minute premiere, and true to form, the producers wasted absolutely no time shaking things up.

This summer's theme is "Time Trip," which means reality television history is up for grabs, and the houseguests are in for a wild ride. With the show fast approaching its monumental 1,000th original episode, the energy in the house is already through the roof.

The Move-In and the Dining Table Time Machine

The night started with 14 brand-new houseguests stepping into a stunningly redesigned house. But the real star of the tour was the Dining Table Time Machine sitting right in the center of the room.

Host Julie Chen Moonves dropped the first bombshell early: there would be no traditional Head of Household (HOH) competition right out of the gate. Instead, 12 of the 14 players were split into groups of four and sent to the backyard, where they were "transported" to different eras to fight for safety.

As a die-hard fan, I have thoughts on these returnees, and I need to get them off my chest.

Angela Murray: Absolute Gold

I am completely obsessed with having Angela back. She is weird, unpredictable, and the perfect chaotic combo for live reality television. I honestly cannot wait for her to get triggered by some completely obscure trait of a fellow houseguest and absolutely lose her mind again. She is scary in all the right ways, and the live feeds are going to be magnificent.

Rick Devens: The Jury is Still Out

Okay, I was genuinely excited about Rick... until I saw all those clips of him sh*tting on BB fans. Yeah, no. He shouldn't just get a free pass from this fandom. He needs to earn our loyalty first. He can keep the casual CBS reality show fans for now, but he has to prove himself to the die-hards. That said, he will bring a great energy to the house. Plus, watching him and Angela navigate a natural "mystery houseguest" alliance is going to be fascinating.

The Ultimate Rachel Reilly Psych-Out (and a Volcano?!)

When Rachel first walked through that door, I was so conflicted. Two seasons in a row? My immediate thought was, "Okay, we need a little more breathing room between Rachel appearances."

But then the first official HOH competition happened, and things went completely off the rails. The houseguests were sent back to the "Jurassic Period," and in a sequence that has social media absolutely melting down, a dinosaur literally knocked Rachel into a "volcano," resulting in her sudden, shocking elimination.

And you know what? I was actually sad when she fell in! I guess that tells me everything I need to know—absence makes the heart grow fonder, even when it's only been five minutes.

Word on the street is Survivor winner Dee Valladares might be waiting in the wings to replace her, but we will have to wait for the next episode to see how that chaos unfolds.
